I am where I am today because I was told: "I couldn't". We are all surrounded by non-supporters. That one person who has the complete doubt you'll never accomplish anything. Just stick to what you are doing...yea...those people are living vicariously through you! They are trying to shape you into the person they want you to be; more than likely because they didn't believe in themselves to become what they wanted to become!
No one ever said it's too late, either! So while your pushing for your dreams, maybe help them push for theirs! I've noticed we tend to put a date on things....like there is some type of expiration date to have accomplished all of our goals....but Lord that is far from the truth!
I've failed so many times, I'm sure you would ask me why I'm still trying....why not give up? ....Move on to something else already! But that's just it .... I can't give up on myself just because everyone else has! It wouldn't be classified as my dream or my goals... it would be more along the lines of a task! If you’re passionate about your dreams they will happen, but your success is determined by how you feel, not how you look, where you travel, or how you live your life!
Yes, I do believe I would be "more successful" today if I would not have experienced all the bumps in the road that I have...but they made me stronger, smarter, gave me the knowledge to overcome. It was the true test if this was what I wanted or not! If you're so easy to give up on something...it never really meant that much to you to start with! If someone can so easily take your dream away and you put it in a box, never to return...it was never your dream! Always return no matter how many times you need to hang it up!
Being a mom has its challenges... we think we need to stop pursuing ourselves and focus on our kids... we fail to realize we are the example for our children. If we so easily quit...what are we teaching them?
Go be the boss babe you're meant to be, stop with the expirations, the envy, the put-downs...your enough....I'll say it again...you are enough! You tried, you made an effort, you gave it more than a thought...just don't give up! If it means something to you...make it mean something to those around you and show them just how determined and strong you really are!
Some like to call it stubbornness... I call it strength!
